New User Interface

Please note that there has been an update to the ARIEL site by Infonetica that changes the look and feel to be more intuitive.  All of the functionality is still there-- some of the headings you're used to seeing along the top are now on the upper left in a condensed/ expandable menu-- and the 'Help' tab is now a question mark inside a circle on the upper right hand side of the screen.  'Notifications' are through the bell icon on the upper right.   Please feel welcome to contact the REB office at reb@nygh.on.ca with any questions or for additional assistance!  Thank you.

Please check expiration dates for active/ ongoing research studies

You can check a study's expiration date in ARIEL, under the 'Sites' tab--near the History tab, where you find approval letters for download.  If your study has lapsed in NYGH REB approval, please submit a continuing renewal form as soon as possible, and a reportable event form (select 'protocol deviation' as the type) if research still occurred during a lapse.  Please remember to allow enough time to renew your studies, and that renewal reminder emails are a courtesy only; the responsibility for maintaining ethical approval rests with the principal investigator.  If a study has ended, please ensure that you submit a study completion/ study closure form.  As usual, to start another form, go to the Work Area, then the 'Project Tree', and click on the 'Initial Submission' and/or the 'Ongoing Studies - Legacy Form'.  Next, click on the 'Create Sub-Form' button that will appear on the upper left.  If a project has been determined to be solely a QI project, no continuing renewals are needed.  Thanks so much!
